Scholarship Aid and Course Assistantships

The MA program in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies offers program offers generous merit and need-based scholarships to all eligible students.  In addition, the department offers a limited number of course assistantships to help students defray the cost of their graduate study.

Course assistantships are assigned to students in good academic standing based on merit and curricular needs. In addition to the financial benefits of being a Course Assistant, students find that being a Course Assistant is an excellent opportunity, giving them hands-on experience as educators. Students have said that they feel mentored throughout the process of working with a professor. They are able to gain an idea of what it is like to teach at the college level, which is important for determining a career path following graduation from Brandeis.
