Rachel Kim Raczka is a journalist and lecturer based in Boston. She currently writes for Fast Company magazine, covering consumer startups and shopping trends, and edits for the Boston Globe's Living Arts section. She also teaches in the WLP department at Emerson College and is an MFA of Creative Writing candidate at Lesley University. She's been published in The Washington Post, Boston Globe Magazine, New York Magazine, Cherry Bombe, Martha Stewart Living, and Time Out New York.
Undergraduate Departmental Representative
Aiden is a senior from Newburyport, Massachusetts majoring in communications and media studies and minoring in journalism. Aiden was the sports editor for The Justice, as well as a captain for the men’s soccer team. He was first introduced to journalism his first-year at Brandeis and has been a huge advocate for the program ever since. This fall Aiden will be interning at Morning Magic 106.7 and WHDH in their sports department. Aiko is a sophomore from Nairobi, Kenya, and the Philippines majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Journalism. While only having spent a year at Brandeis, she has felt very welcomed by students and faculty in the Journalism department. She is thrilled to be able to help this department grow and assist students as they delve into the journalism minor. Please feel free to reach out to her if you have any questions!
Scarlett is a senior from Shanghai, China, and Seattle, Washington. She is a double major in International Global Studies and Anthropology, and a double minor in Journalism and Religious Studies. She writes for The Hoot and was previously a social media producer for the department. In addition, she has interned at various interdisciplinary media organizations and is very excited to meet you all! Please don't hesitate to reach out to her with any questions.
Lea is a junior from Los Angeles, California, majoring in American Studies and minoring in Journalism. She is passionate about music criticism and culture writing, which she has been able to explore through her involvement with WBRS Radio and the Justice. She feels very grateful to be a part of the tightknit journalism community at Brandeis and looks forward to helping it grow.
