HBI offers a number of opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students with an interest in Jewish gender studies to be involved with our activities.
Undergraduate Students

Gilda Slifka Graduate Student Internship Program
An eight-week paid summer program for undergraduate students with an interest in HBI's mission. -
HBI Undergraduate Grant in Jewish Gender Studies
Up to $500 will be given each fall to a Brandeis undergraduate to support a research project in the field of Jewish Gender Studies.

Provide research assistance to an HBI Scholar-in-residence. Openings are posted on the Brandeis Student Employment website. Open to Brandeis University students only.

Graduate Students

An eight-week paid summer internship for graduate students enrolled in either a master's or PhD program in line with HBI’s mission. - HBI Scholar-in-Residence Programs
Residences up to one semester are available to PhD candidates nearing completion of their degree.

HBI Research Awards
PhD candidates are invited to apply for a Junior HBI Research Award to support costs associated with completing their thesis. -
Rosalie Katchen Travel Award
PhD candidates who have been accepted to present at the annual Associate of Jewish Studies conference may apply for a $250 grant to cover travel expenses.
