The art of Jo Sandman was featured from July to October in an exhibition titled “Jo Sandman: The Photographic Work” at Massachusetts’ Fitchburg Art Museum. The pieces included X-rays digitally altered to change bone structures and color palettes, including X-rays of the artist’s own body. Sumner Sheff, MA’59, writes that his son David’s book “The Buddhist on Death Row” was published by Simon & Schuster in August. The book explores the transformation of Jarvis Jay Masters, who has become a renowned Buddhist practitioner while imprisoned on death row. David wrote the New York Times bestseller “Beautiful Boy.” Diana (Laskin) Siegal reports the Class of ’52 held its first virtual reunion on Dec. 13, with 19 members in attendance. The next virtual reunion will be held in May.
