Elizabeth (Freund) Fideler’s latest book is “Aging, Work and Retirement,” published by Rowman & Littlefield last year. She says the topic is a timely one for her classmates. The book also serves as an informative resource for graduate and undergraduate students in sociology, gerontology, psychology, business management and social work. David Kann’s fourth poetry chapbook, “The Creation Project,” is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press. In December, during the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s celebration of its 50th anniversary, Leonard Miller, P’96, was recognized for having been one of the agency’s charter employees. During his 12 years at the EPA, Leonard opened the regional office in Seattle, established the U.S. air quality control regions, wrote regulations on environmental permits that are still in force today and received many honors for his work. He is co-founder of the U.S. EPA Alumni Association.
