Sena Biswas, P’16, has been appointed venture partner at Lumira Capital Investment Management. He recently served as interim CEO at Mimetogen Pharmaceuticals, and at Lumira portfolio companies KalGene Pharmaceuticals and OsteoQC. Seattle resident Rebecca Laszlo, who completed interim executives academy certificate training at Third Sector Company, last year held her first engagement as an interim executive director at Powerful Voices, a small nonprofit. She writes, “In my free time, I’m studying Spanish, trying to regain some of this beautiful language I’ve barely spoken in 35 years. My spouse, Sara, and I will spend much of the winter in a Palm Springs house rental, staying safe, active and healthy.” Douglas Monasebian is a practicing plastic surgeon in New York City and former president of Brandeis’ New York City Alumni Association. Books from his collection were on display in a recent exhibition at NYC’s Grolier Club called “The History of Plastic Surgery: Much More Than Skin Deep.” In December, Cheryl Pegus started a new position as executive vice president of health and wellness at Walmart. Previously, she was Cambia Health Solution’s president of consumer health solutions and chief medical officer. Laurie Rich Levinson was elected vice chair of the school board of Broward County, Florida, in November. Brian Saber’s second book, “Boards and Asking Styles: A Roadmap to Success,” was published last fall. Brian is president of Asking Matters, which trains nonprofit staff and board members to cultivate relationships with individual donors and ask for gifts.
