Robert Acker has begun a scholarship program for students at Souphanouvong University, in Luang Prabang, Laos. He hopes to open the small guest cottage he’s building in Luang Prabang in July. In October, the American Antitrust Institute presented Albert Foer the Alfred E. Kahn Award for Antitrust Achievement. “Albert A. Foer: A Consumer Voice in the Antitrust Arena” was also published in Concurrences’ Liber Amicorum series. Elsa Lichman writes, “During the pandemic, I have turned to the arts and nature for solace. I’ve joined online meditation groups and self-healing classes, and have studied voice (performing a German art song by Lang in a virtual recital). In addition, I get together for a singalong with seniors on Zoom; write a regular nature column for my local paper and a spiritual journal; and publish essays, poetry and photographs in a variety of venues.” Lois (Galgay) Reckitt was reelected to her third term in the Maine House of Representatives, where she serves on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety, and Judiciary committees. William Schneider, H’08, teaches at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, in Fairfax, Virginia; writes a column for The Hill, the newspaper of Capitol Hill; and broadcasts for Al Jazeera English. He plans to retire from teaching in May.
