Class of 2011
Aditi Ahlawat joined the neurology practice at Milford (Massachusetts) Regional Physician Group in September. Priyanka Chilakamarri completed neurology training at Yale School of Medicine and successfully matched into a fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. Jacob Crosby was a production assistant on “1986: The Act,” a film about the passage and consequences of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act. The film was released in July. Jacob has an MPH in epidemiology from George Washington University. Netta Engelhardt received the 2021 New Horizons in Physics Prize for her work on calculating the quantum information content of a black hole and its radiation. Michelle Miller created a podcast called “Mentors on the Mic” (Instagram: @MentorsontheMic), in which she interviews people in the entertainment industry, including Brandeis alumni, who explain where they started and how they moved up in their careers. Leigh Nusbaum sends in an update: “After an internship in D.C. just after leaving Brandeis, I fell into political campaigns in Virginia (my home) as well as two races in Hawaii and Louisiana. For most of the 2010s, I served as an aide and later chief of staff to a member of the Virginia House of Delegates (who recently broke a 400-year-old glass ceiling to become the first female speaker). Though I loved my time in the Virginia legislature, I finally went back to my roots. As of this writing, I am nearly finished with my first semester at Columbia University’s MPA in development practice program. Even though doing school remotely from Virginia is not the same as in person in Manhattan, I am having a blast. I’m even sharing a class with Roza Azene ’18. I look forward to moving to Manhattan, fully vaccinated, in the future, and getting back in touch with Brandeis folks once it’s safe.” Julia (Korn) Wuench was named a 2020 Business Insider Most Innovative Career Coach. She uses group coaching as a source of connection during COVID-19 and pairs her coaching with an app that focuses on mental fitness. Julia is a contributor to Forbes magazine, and her first book, “Breaking Up With ‘Should,’” will be published this year.
