David L. Kline writes, “Brooklyn is designed for living. Current benefits: Family (strong wife; three accomplished, partnered kids living in easy access; four grandchildren, ages 4-16). One Shabbat Torah class to teach. Four weekly Skype study sessions. A ready supply of good flour for bread baking. Pickling pots. One writing project. Two good feet willing to walk or pedal.” Janet (Hentoff) Krauss reports, “Mentoring former students and reaching out to friends and family, all through emails and Zoom, keep me feeling uplifted. Once-a-week phone calls with Marsha Milgram Stark, P’80, bring us both comfort and joy — we chat about our families, our Zoom activities and our feelings. Though my husband and I live a cautious, sheltered life, we enjoy walks by the shore, and the ocean has inspired many of my poems. We go on with purpose in spite of the virus, and we hope those devastated physically, mentally or economically by the virus will soon be offered help.”
