Follow up on campus activities and discussions related to the events in Ferguson, MO

Dear Colleagues,
One of the items I would have raised in my Provost’s report at the December faculty meeting that was canceled today is a request to be attentive to and supportive of the impact on our community of the recent grand jury decisions regarding the deaths of Mike Brown and Eric Garner. In addition, as we look towards the spring term I would be glad to work with interested faculty who would like to convene different types of forum on the social, legal, and political issues highlighted by the events of the last months in Ferguson, Missouri and elsewhere.
