A Brandeis Holiday Tradition

Dec. 4, 2017

Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in a Brandeis holiday tradition. On Monday, December 11 at 4:00 p.m., in the Shapiro Campus Center atrium, all interested members of the Brandeis community are invited to our annual community sing of highlights from Handel’s masterwork “Messiah.” Your families are invited to attend as well.

The hour-long concert will be performed by the Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra (Neal Hampton, conductor) and the Brandeis Chamber Singers and University Chorus (Robert Duff, conductor). For your singing pleasure, music scores will be provided. Please arrive a few minutes early to get your copy!

After the concert, our multifaith chaplains and staff will host a reception. They invite you to decorate ornaments for the Christmas tree in the campus center and enjoy egg nog, apple cider, and Christmas caroling.

For those interested there will also be a table at the concert for you to drop off a donation of new or gently used school supplies suitable for children in grades K-8. Donations will be collected by the Department of Community Service and distributed by Cradles to Crayons.

Best wishes,
Lisa Lynch
