Flavio Leo, deputy director of aviation planning and strategy at the Massachusetts Port Authority, was recognized during a White House ceremony as a Champion of Change, for helping to ensure that transportation facilities, services and jobs help individuals and communities connect to 21st-century opportunities. Flavio is part of a Massport team that works on safety and noise issues at Boston’s Logan Airport. Dawn Zelmanowitz was appointed assistant dean for administration at UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. Jonathan Harris rejoined the law firm Furey, Donovan, Tracy & Daly. In addition to practicing law since 1990, he has served as mayor of West Hartford, Conn.; state senator from the Fifth District; and Connecticut’s deputy treasurer. He is executive director of the Connecticut Democratic Party. Leonard Asper, along with his brother and sister, participated in a ceremony in their hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, to rename a stretch of road “Israel Asper Way” in honor of their father. The road runs in front of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, which opened in 2014. The institution was the brainchild of the elder Asper, who died in 2003.
