Deborah Bial, H’12, founder and president of the Posse Foundation, won the Harold W. McGraw Jr. Prize in Education, for increasing the number of students from disadvantaged backgrounds who pursue postsecondary education. Bela Apparao Labovitch, P’17, is thrilled that her son Kris is a member of Brandeis’ Class of 2017. She lives in Newton, Mass., with her husband, Paul, and their other son, Deven. Marc Borsak married David Barrineau on June 14, 2014, at Ici, a restaurant in Brooklyn. Marc is the company manager of the Broadway musical “Kinky Boots.” Stephen Scheinthal, P’16, P’16, was appointed professor and chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, in Stratford, N.J. Stephen lives in Cherry Hill with his wife, Michelle ’86, P’16, P’16, and triplet sons Ari ’16, Gabi ’16 and Eitan, who rebelled by choosing Tufts.
