Socrates Café

Socrates Cafés are gatherings where people from different backgrounds exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central idea that that we learn more when we question with others.

Socrates Café groups typically meet in a public place and are open to anyone who wishes to attend. Topics are chosen by vote or announced shortly in advance. There are no prerequisites, and no reading or other preparation is required.

The Brandeis café is open to all philosophically minded undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of major. Meeting times vary, but our first meeting this semester is on Friday, February 8th at 2PM in Rabb Graduate Center, Room 338.

Bring your questions, snacks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
