Involvement on campus: Symbiosis (the newest addition of the Waltham Group), dedicated Cheese Club enthusiast, and Chums!

What is your favorite part of your role: Every time you walk into Chum's, its a different vibe. Sometimes there are people there who are down to connect, get to know each other drinking tea, and other times it's the craziest, sweatiest dance party you can imagine. You never really know what to expect with the space; its really dynamic with the mood of campus.

How has this involvement impacted your time at Brandeis? It introduced me to an amazing group of people- everyone who works at Chum's is really great- and also allowed me to meet a ton of new people all around campus that I probably wouldn't have met otherwise. It also really helped me appreciate the value of having a student run space on campus, and the power that students have when they connect with each other.

What made you get involved? I applied on a whim, because I felt like it was a community that would really help me grow and love.

Cholmondeley's Coffee House (Chum's)

Cholmondeley's (Chum's) is Brandeis' student run coffee house, tucked away in the historic Castle and named for a bloodhound belonging to the campus photographer. Throughout its history, it has played host to, among others, Tracy Chapman, the J. Geils Band, Joan Baez and the first American performance of Genesis.
