Project Information
Dr. Jordan Katz, Professor of Jewish Studies at University of Massachusetts, is completing a manuscript on Jewish midwives in early modern Europe and will be looking for help checking citations and bibliographical references, in addition to obtaining image permissions for publications in her book. The intern may also help to develop themes and research ideas for another project that has emerged from this research, which explores perceptions of women's bodies in early modern rabbinic texts.
She is seeking an intern to carry out online and library research in checking citations/quotes, and bibliographic information (50%). The intern will also conduct research on rabbinic texts (50%).
