Judith Chazin-Bennahum, P’92, reports she attended the first-ever conference on Jewish dance, held at Arizona State University in October 2019, where she delivered a paper on the Russian dancer and actress Ida Rubinstein. She enjoys her annual get-togethers with Paula Gordon, Alice Sheffet and Roberta Apfel. Janet Kranzberg ’59 occasionally joins the fun. Sandra Rich Gertner, P’79, P’82, P’84, who lives in Toronto, writes she is not just surviving these most extraordinary times but doing quite well. In May, Annette Liberman Miller, MFA’76, made a guest appearance on a JLive Zoom call to discuss her career on and off Broadway, and in film. The JLive program is part of Jewish Arts Collaborative programming. Lois Lipman Zajic writes that, during the pandemic, she has had the time — and the inclination — to give back. She even reached out via FaceTime to the former Brandeis professor she says influenced her the most, sociologist Maurice Stein, who is 94.
