Jeffrey Fishman writes he’s glad to be (tele)working on creative engagement programs in the Office of the Chief Communications Officer at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. He helps produce virtual events that give industry creatives a chance to learn about the science behind film, television and video game story lines. Alan Ilagan is associate director of human resources at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. His lifestyle blog, Alanilagan.com, is in its 17th year (making it, he writes, “an absolute dinosaur”). Ilana Kameros, MA’01, is managing partner of law firm Nixon Peabody’s New York City office. She also maintains her practice in the firm’s corporate trust, and banking and finance groups. Laura Limonic’s book “Kugel and Frijoles: Latino Jews in the United States” received the 2020 Best Book Award from the Latin American Jewish Studies Association. Daniel Miller recently graduated from Simmons University with a Master of Science in library and information services, and is now seeking to start a career in law librarianship. Daniel Myers, who works with his father in their tax and business consulting practice, is helping clients receive coronavirus-related loans through the Small Business Administration. Daniel celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary on Labor Day; he and Shari, who met as students at the University of Miami School of Law, have three children: Max (15), and twins Vinny and Zara (8). Inspired by the organization Project Backboard, which works with local artists to renovate basketball courts in low-income neighborhoods, Daniel reports he’s trying to renovate his own neighborhood’s court. He keeps in close touch with Andrew Share and Nicholas Rosenberg. James Heller Null is a partner in the capital markets and corporate department at law firm Loeb & Loeb’s New York City office. He’s been a senior tax attorney for 15 years. Sasha Porto Caskey is co-founder and chief technology officer at Kasisto, which creates technology that helps financial institutions deepen customer engagement. Bram Weber is president of the board of trustees of the Solomon Schechter School of Long Island.
