Susan Basow, MA’70, PhD’73, the Charles A. Dana Professor of Psychology at Lafayette College, in Easton, Pennsylvania, is retiring after 43 years of teaching. Eugene Tobin, MA’70, PhD’72, has been named a member of the Pace University board of trustees. In March, the late Fatima Mernissi, MA’72, PhD’74, was named one of Eight Phenomenal Moroccan Women That Were Ahead of Their Time by Morocco World News, in honor of the UN’s International Women’s Day. Fatima, a key figure in the Islamic feminist movement, wrote more than a dozen books on anthropology, sociology and feminism. She died in 2015 at age 75. BioSpace, a life-science industry news and information source, named Susan Windham-Bannister, Heller PhD’77, H’19, to its 10 Prominent African American Life-Science Leaders list. Susan is the CEO of Biomedical Growth Strategies. Beatrice Rogers, Heller PhD’78, reports it was wonderful to talk with graduates of the Heller doctoral program from different decades on a group Zoom call. “What a terrific idea to reconnect us all,” she writes.
