Deborah Skolnick-Einhorn, PhD’12, is head of school at the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School of the Nation’s Capital. Previously, she was associate dean at Hebrew College’s School of Jewish Education. Dennis Doherty, Rabb MS’13, has joined Kleinfelder, an organization that seeks to create and improve infrastructure, as a part of its engineering, construction management, design and environmental professional-services firm. Kleber Rendon, Rabb MS’14, is working at the U.S. Department of Defense in the area of information security, intel and cyber intel, having received a Top Secret clearance. Emily Sigalow, PhD’15, is the author of “American JewBu,” which looks at Jewish people who are interested in and practice Buddhism. The book, published by Princeton University Press in 2019, is based on her PhD dissertation. In May, Carole Allen, Heller MBA’17, became president-elect of the Massachusetts Medical Society. She was previously the organization’s vice president, and served for many years as a trustee and a delegate. Gail Carter, Heller MA’18, wrote a chapter in “The Making of a Successful Business Woman,” in which 20 entrepreneurs explain how they started their ventures. The book was named a No. 1 Amazon Best-Seller. Agueda Garcia Irizar, Heller MA’18, lives with husband Marcos in Bogotá, Colombia. One son is studying global health at Lund University, in Sweden. The other is working at Nike in Oregon. When it becomes easier to travel, “there is always a B&B at our home if you stop by for a long weekend,” she writes. Jill Marjorie Baren, Heller MBA’19, in May was named provost and vice president of academic affairs at University of the Sciences, in Philadelphia.
