Jonathan Burrows was one of the first two Brandeis students to major in theater arts. “I want to tell you that you did a good job and launched me well,” he writes. His list of producing credits include the 1969 Broadway show “Fire!” and a 2014 revival of Cole Porter’s “Can-Can,” as well as the films “Fletch” (1985) and “Texasville” (1990). He’s also had sideline careers as a restaurateur, chef and book author. He can be reached at jonathanlburrows@gmail.com. In February, Angela Davis presented a keynote address, “Democracy and Civil Engagement,” during Nelson Mandela Social Justice Day at the University of Southern Indiana. Sandy (Kotzen) Smith writes, “Dennis and I extended our usual three-month winter stay in Sarasota, Florida, due to COVID concerns and didn’t return to New Jersey until May. Since then, we have been keeping busy with golf, bridge, mah-jongg (me), reading and staying in touch with friends, including Brandeis classmates. We see our daughters and granddaughters, socially distanced, in their backyards.” Patricia Striar Rohner is working on an MFA in creative writing at Lesley University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
