Abby Abramson Brown writes, “I’m sadly sharing the news that my husband, Paul N. Brown ’58, died unexpectedly on Jan. 2, 10 days after our 61st anniversary. Also missing him are our daughter and son and their spouses, as well as our four wonderful grandchildren. We had been enjoying our retirement life: walking, biking and taking classes. Paul had also been enjoying teaching at BOLLI.” Suzanne Hodes writes, “Living at Lasell Village, a senior-living community in Newton, Massachusetts, where we have strict protocols, is challenging, but everyone is friendly. Technology helps in this new, strange time. I talk to my son Joe’s family, including my twin grandsons, by Skype; during in-person visits, we all wear masks. I go to my studio once a week to keep making watercolors. Twice a week, I eat with my buddy, when we don’t need masks.” Susan Kahn is the creator of Sue’s Strategies, a program focused on grammar instruction, which can help both teens and college students achieve better writing skills. David Koulack reports he’s doing lots of walking, lots of talking and a bit of writing. Joan (Silverman) and Milton Wallack, both P’86, were honored for their leadership and support by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which gave them its Star of Hope Award in May.
