Leslie Neiman Kingsley writes, “We are grateful to be hanging on during this challenging time. My facilitating an English conversation circle for non-native speakers at the Shrewsbury (Massachusetts) Library ended with the pandemic. And, sadly, our first trip to Israel, planned for May through Brandeis, was understandably canceled. Thanks to Martin Zelnik and Stephen Reiner, who organized a wonderful Class of 1961 Zoom call a few months ago. Chris joins me in sending love and wellness to all.” Martin Zelnik has been selected to serve on the National Center for Jewish Film board of directors. Martin, an architect, designs synagogues, including the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale. He has a keen interest in the NCJF’s efforts to preserve and circulate old Jewish and Yiddish films, to maintain the collective memory of the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
