Debbie Adler is president and CEO of Global LA, a public-private partnership that is bringing international businesses to the Los Angeles region in advance of the 2028 Olympics. An exhibition of David Benforado’s paintings, “Cataclysms II,” was held in October at Kourd Gallery, in Athens, Greece. Nicole Berwald is the medical director at Staten Island University Hospital, where she was formerly associate medical director and chair of the emergency department. Optometrist Hazel Lema Delong has a private practice in the Greater Calgary area, in Alberta, Canada. Michael Hayden is treasurer of the Massachusetts Bar Association for 2022-23. He is a partner at Morrison Mahoney in Boston, with a practice that focuses largely on professional liability, specifically the defense of nonmedical professionals, such as lawyers, architects, and engineers. Sarene Leeds, a journalist who has been published in Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, Ad Age, and Vulture, in December earned a Master of Science in professional writing from the New York University School of Professional Studies. She lives in Westchester County, New York, with her husband of 15 years and their 6-year-old daughter. A. David Lewis is one of six national judges for the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards. Jenny Small is associate director at Brandeis’ Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education.
