An expanded edition of “Hebrew Root Dictionary,” by Eric Kotkin, will be published by Kodesh Press later this year. It will include a new introduction to Jewish intellectual history. Producer/director Matthew Krinsky filmed his independent movie “All Saints Day” in Chelsea, Massachusetts, last winter. The film is about estranged siblings from an Irish immigrant family who reunite to help their oldest brother, who is drinking himself to death. Matthew got his start in Hollywood working as a production assistant at Quentin Tarantino’s production company. Dori Robinson has wrapped the fourth season of her podcast “Tree Speech,” which considers the personal, historical, and cultural ways that trees impact our lives. After spending two years in São Paulo, Brazil, Kaukab Jhumra Smith and her family have moved to Ghana. She and her husband are foreign service officers at the U.S. Embassy in Accra.
