“I first met Marika at the beginning of my PhD during our initial one-on-one meeting, and her mentorship since 2019 has been truly invaluable…The GSAS Professional Development team consistently emphasizes this lesson to its students: always believe in yourself, give yourself as many chances as you can, and don’t ever hold yourself back..”--Liz Mahon, Psychology PhD Student and Winner of 3MT Competition 2023

“Dr. Anjaria had individual time to meet with students. In these time slots, we went over drafts of my cover letters for academic jobs. I started my first year on the market very pessimistic that I would get any traction but I got 3 campus interviews and, ultimately, a tenure-track job.”--Hannah Jung, PhD ‘23 in History, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Alabama.
