Gary “Sundance” Clay has published his first book, “Power Poems: Words That Impact.” He is a proud dad to three children: Gary Jr., who earned a medical degree from Howard University; Darren, a PhD graduate from the University of Georgia; and Brianna, a senior at the University of West Georgia. Grandson Mathis William is nearly 1. Steven Hamburg says he’s loved every minute of his 33-year career as a chiropractic physician. His younger son will graduate from college next year; the elder is an insurance adjuster. Steven has three grandchildren: Rilyn, 10; Cooper, 3; and Piper, 1. Joanne Kubiak, P’18; Carrie Jalazo Glazier; and Laura Klein celebrated 60th birthdays — and 42 years of friendship — in Quebec in October. Craig Lapin is director of the Central Connecticut Cystic Fibrosis Center at the UConn/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. He and his wife, Anne, traveled to England in August and later went to Scotland, where they danced at a Hogmanay ceilidh. Daughter Sarah, who recently married William Scrimgeour, is a teacher in Clinton, Connecticut. Son Ian, an ardent Liverpool soccer club supporter, works at Merrill Lynch. Shereen Randazza has a residential real-estate practice with Lang Realty in Boca Raton, Florida. Last year, she received the company’s Diamond Star Award, recognizing the highest level of achievement in sales. Paul Rosengard has welcomed his first grandchild, Thomas Noah, born to daughter Jillian. Thomas is the first member of his generation on either side of his family. To get him ready for Opening Day, Paul went shopping for tiny Red Sox caps. Jennifer Roskies works at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, a think tank focused on Israeli security, regional diplomacy and international law. Her analysis on the role of the Oslo Accords in sowing discontent between Jews was published in Tablet magazine. Mark Sack lost his wife, Aviv, in August after a two-year battle with cancer. Mark says Aviv was grateful to meet her second grandchild, Sadie, and develop a special bond with her first grandchild, Sammy J.
