Stephen Dennis Alkins, MS’12, PhD’18, is the diversity, equity and inclusion officer at TERC, a nonprofit STEM education research and development organization. Outside the lab, Stephen has worked as a math and science learning specialist and mentor in the Academic Achievement Center at MassBay Community College. A spoken-word poet, he also organizes STEM leadership seminars and workshops for young men of color. Shiran Posner, MAT’14, works in the planning and allocations department at Diller Teen Fellows, a leadership development program for Jewish teens. She previously worked at Chicago Jewish Day School and Columbus (Ohio) Jewish Day School.
