Sherri Alpert-Crohn is a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, which acknowledges excellence in surgically placing and restoring dental implants. Malca Bassan has written two new books. “Hello!” is a brief volume for children. “Soon in Our Days: Lessons of the Prophets” tells and illustrates the haphtaroth. Jesse Dizard is professor of anthropology at California State University, Chico. His documentaries “Mr. Tanimoto’s Journey” and “Stolen Paradise” were broadcast on PBS station KVIE, in Sacramento. Upcoming projects will explore contaminated water in California’s San Joaquin Valley and a solar energy facility in the Mojave Desert. Jesse will serve as resident director of the California State University Study Abroad Program in Aix-en-Provence for the 2019-20 academic year. Susan Lazev and Rich Epstein, P’14, P’22, have moved to Jersey City, New Jersey. Susan is an advanced student at the International Wine Center in New York City, and Rich is deputy managing partner at law firm Sills Cummis & Gross. Daughter Dalia ’22 is a first-year student at Brandeis. Son David works in theater in Montreal. Son Jonathan ’14 co-founded Nomad, which produces all-natural energy drinks from upcycled coffeefruit, with Max Keilson ’13.
