Janice Johnson Dias signed a deal with Penguin Random House to write a book on parenting and social justice, to be published in 2020. Janice’s daughter, Marley, is the youngest person on the Forbes 30 Under 30 2018 list. Marley’s book, “Marley Dias Gets It Done and So Can You,” was published by Scholastic last year. Paul Fenton, a 21-year veteran of the Cape Elizabeth (Maine) Police Department and an FBI-trained commander of the Southern Maine Regional SWAT Team, is Cape Elizabeth’s new police chief. Dana (Serman) Lambert is a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch in Manhattan. He lives in Larchmont, New York, with wife Emmy and son Schuylar. Mark Nobleman, who lives in Maryland, has written many books for young readers. The most recent is “Thirty Minutes Over Oregon: A Japanese Pilot’s World War II Story,” a little-known true account. Sara Shapiro-Plevan is a founder of the Gender Equity in Hiring in the Jewish Community Project, which launches this summer. The project, which has earned several grants, seeks to transform the culture of gender bias that keeps women from holding senior staff positions in Jewish organizations. Sara, a doctoral candidate in the Davidson School at the Jewish Theological Seminary, also founded Rimonim Consulting, which works with Jewish educational organizations, schools, congregations and foundations to develop networked and collaborative cultures. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and son.
