Joshua Spero is a professor of international politics at Fitchburg State University. His book “Middle Powers and Regional Influence: Critical Foreign Policy Junctures for Poland, South Korea and Bolivia” was published by Rowman & Littlefield last year.

THEIR CUP OF TEA: Last year’s Thanksgiving Day Tea, organized by the Alumni Club of Great Britain, drew a big crowd to hear American studies professor Tom Doherty share insights from his book “Show Trial: Hollywood, HUAC and the Birth of the Blacklist.” The nearly 70 guests at the 31st annual event included alumni, parents, students, friends and many incoming midyear students who were spending the fall semester in London before coming to campus in January.
