Matt Bryant lives in Manchester, New Hampshire, with his wife, two dogs and a cat. A science teacher and soccer coach at Windham High School, he was named one of the state’s Top Teachers for 2018 by ParentingNH magazine (landing his first magazine cover in the process). Melissa Carlson leads the digital production department at WGBH Children’s Media and Education, where she produces apps, games and website features. She has been named a WGBH Becton Fellow, and her team has won multiple Emmy awards. Ariel Chesler was elected a New York City Civil Court judge in November. He also serves as a Family Court judge in Bronx County. Tracey Croughwell runs her own consulting firm, Social Currency, which helps startup brands launch. She married Luis Saenz in 2011; Coreen Farris was in the wedding party. Tracey and Luis have two children: Quinton, 2, and Imogen, 7 months. The family lives in Encinitas, California. Eva Kimonis, associate professor of psychology at the University of New South Wales, in Sydney, received a Tomorrow Maker grant from the AMP Foundation Tomorrow Fund for her work treating young children with severe antisocial behavior. She and her husband, Ken, have a 2-year-old daughter, Elle, and recently enjoyed a birthday trip to Bali with Selamawit Paulos. Lee Rubin is associate professor of orthopedic surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine and chief of adult reconstruction at Yale University/Yale Medicine. He co-wrote and -edited “Hip Replacement: Experts Answer Your Questions,” to be published by Johns Hopkins University Press in June. He lives in Guilford, Connecticut, with wife Jamie; their children, Abigail and Matthew; and their beagles, Brooks and Tessie. Tova Speter’s work was featured in a solo art exhibition at Gorse Mill Studios, in Needham, Massachusetts. She also created “Brighter Together,” an interactive black-light installation displayed at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in December. Jesse Wald works at the U.S. embassy in Tunis. He and Hazel Cipolle, whom he met while he was working in Egypt, were married in Maine in July. They enjoy rock climbing, exploring archaeological sites, and searching the Mediterranean for the best olive oil and wine.
