For a May 2018 Degree
(MA paper is completed prior to start of final exams)

| Thursday, March 1 | Deadline to file the registrar's application for a master's degree [online] |
| Friday, March 2 | First full draft of master's paper is due to one or both readers |
| Friday, March 23 | Faculty comments on master's papers due to degree candidates |
| Tuesday, May 1 | Final, revised version of master's paper due to both readers [This is during the final exam period. Note deadlines are tighter due to May commencement and the lead time required to prepare diplomas.] |
For a August 2018 Degree
(subject to reader availability; work is completed in early August)

The student and both readers should establish mutual expectations in advance.
