How to Declare a Major or Minor
Welcome to Anthropology! We are thrilled that you are considering majoring or minoring with us! If you are planning to declare as either a major or a minor in anthropology, you will need to fill out the major/minor declaration form and email it to the UAH, Professor Horton, for signature. Should you require additional guidance or assistance with the process, picking an advisor, or just want to talk more about anthropology and what it can offer you at Brandeis and beyond, please make an appointment with Professor Horton here. If you have a faculty member you would like to nominate as your advisor please mention them in your email to the UAH. You may also find out more about declaring a major/minor, substitutions, and more at the University Registrar's Page. For both majors and minors ANTH 1A and either 5A or 7A are required. Majors need seven more ANTH electives (total of 9 courses) and minors will need three more ANTH electives (total of 5 courses) as the minimum requirements for completion.
