Graduate Assistant Positions
Some years the Gender and Sexuality Center is able to hire Graduate Assistants (GAs). GAs are an important aspect of the GSC's staffing and are responsible for a number of critical functions in the Center.
Gender and Sexuality Center Graduate Assistants:
- Work approximately 10 hours per week
- Lead one of the GSC teams
- Co-supervise Pride Reps
- Plan professional development opportunities for GSC staff
- Assist in the training of Pride Reps
- Hold office hours and meet with students
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data from the implementation of GSC programs
Pride Rep Positions
Some years the Gender and Sexuality Center is able to hire Pride Reps (Undergraduate student workers). Pride reps are an important aspect of the GSC's staffing and are responsible for a number of critical functions in the Center.
Pride Reps:
- Work approximately 5 hours per week
- Are assigned to one of the 3 GSC teams based on their preference and skills
- Function as ambassadors for the GSC on and off campus
- Receive formalized training and professional development from the GSC
- Hold office hours and meet with students

Welcome to Triskelion, Brandeis’s oldest surviving LGBTQ+ student-led community! Our mission is to foster and perpetuate an environment, both within Brandeis and in the greater community, of acceptance, support, understanding and equality with regard to sexual/romantic orientation and gender identity/expression, accomplished through advocacy, activism, social events, creating and maintaining safe spaces, as well as referring to and utilizing other relevant campus resources, such as the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) and the Intercultural Center (ICC).

Brandeis Encourages Women in Science and Engineering (BEWiSE)
Brandeis Encourages Women in Science and Engineering is a student-run organization focused on providing a fun and supportive environment for students to experience science and be exposed to strong role models outside of the typical classroom experience. BEWiSE establishes connections between our members and professionals including graduate students and professors at Brandeis University to provide robust science opportunities and a welcoming community.
Brandeis Liquid Latex
The mission of Liquid Latex is to provide a unique experience to members of the Brandeis community so that they can have spaces that allow them to be creative and express themselves. Liquid Latex will provide an experience that will help define a student's time at Brandeis. By hosting an annual performance piece for the school, students interested in modern performing arts will work with the club to create, rehearse, and practice their pieces.
Brandeis Men of Color Alliance

Brandeis Pro-Choice
Brandeis Pro-Choice is an official Planned Parenthood Generation Action chapter dedicated to promoting reproductive rights including safe and legal abortion, comprehensive sex education programs, adequate access to contraception, and more. This year, in the midst of a reproductive rights crisis, we hope to take action by ensuring that all members of the Brandeis community are prepared to make meaningful and educated decisions regarding their own reproductive health, as well as decisions that will hopefully increase access to sexual health care for those in need.
Femme of Color Alliance
Femme of Color Alliance is committed to dismantling barriers by uniting women of all races, class, sexual orientation, religion or any other divisive category. FOCA will do this by uniting all different identities FOCA will provide a form of conversation that is unique to the Brandeis community. FOCA strives to create a community that honors and emphasizes the importance of the experiences of femmes of color. We aim to continue creating as many forms of support through activism and other means of voicing the hardships, concerns and experiences of femmes of color on campus. Together we will support and uplift each other despite any of our differences.
Intersectional Feminist Coalition
The mission of the Intersectional Feminist Coalition includes the following:a. To establish a broad constituency to work in pursuit of social, political, and economic equality for individuals of all genders.b. To take action on national, state, local, and campus feminist issues and concerns.c. To educate the university community about feminist issues.d. To provide a space for, and enhance, feminist community and dialogue on campus, and to act as a liaison between multiple social justice clubs and organization so as to create a progressive feminist intersectional community on campuse. To connect feminist students with feminist leaders and organizations on and off campus.
Jewish Feminist Association of Brandeis
The Jewish Feminist Association of Brandeis (JFAB) is a club dedicated to the intersection of Judaism and feminism. JFAB is committed to uplifting the voices of Jewish women on the Brandeis campus and to starting more nuanced conversations about the intersection of gender and Jewish identity and experience. JFAB strives to create environments and opportunities to substantively engage with and to build community around this intersection, in order to enrich the experiences of not only students who are Jewish and women-identified, but of all students at Brandeis University
Period Activists at 'Deis
Period Activists at 'Deis (PAD) fights for menstrual justice and seeks to uplift the voices of all menstruators. We strive to facilitate access to menstrual products and education, dismantle the menstrual stigma, and advocate for policies that protect the rights of menstruators.
Sharsheret at Brandeis
Sharsheret is a national organization that supports people experiencing breast or ovarian cancer. It provides personalized support as well as educational outreach. Sharsheret at Brandeis seeks to raise awareness for breast and ovarian cancer and runs events in order to start a conversation about this difficult topic and provide support and education to those who may need it.
Student Sexuality Information Services
Student Sexuality Information Services is a for-students, by-students organization at Brandeis University that strives to decrease sexual stigma on campus and support all students' sexual health and wellness. Since 1973, SSIS has proudly served the Brandeis community by offering peer support, educational workshops, resource and product referrals, a comprehensive library, and quality, subsidized sexual health and wellness products.
Students Talking About Relationships
Students Talking About Relationships aims to be a supportive resource for the Brandeis community, while promoting mental wellness and decreasing the stigma associated with reaching out for help. We provide a unique opportunity for students to speak with fellow peers, which can be more accessible and provide a different experience before taking the next steps to seek professional resources if necessary. Through our work, we hope to build a campus climate that encourages wellness, openness, and warmth.
Women in Science Initiative (WiSI)
Women in Science Initiative (WiSI) is a community of graduate students, postdocs, staff, and faculty from every STEM department on campus who are committed to fostering the success of women and other historically excluded genders in STEM. Our goal is for people of all genders to be respected, supported, and recognized for their scientific achievements.

Brandeis Faculty and Staff Pride Alliance
The
Brandeis Faculty and Staff Pride Alliance (BFSPA) is open to all members of the faculty and staff who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community or wish to be part of the peer network that supports the LGBTQIA+ community on campus. We are a faculty and staff association dedicated to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and allied members at Brandeis in their professional and community roles.
Staff-Faculty Accessibility Group
The
Staff-Faculty Accessibility at Brandeis group includes staff and faculty who identify as disabled along with peers who support them. Focused on accessibility-related issues that arise at work and the workplace, the Staff-Faculty Accessibility Group may help develop resources related to accessibility and disability-at-work, organize disability-related events, and engage in other activities as members determine, while also providing support and advocacy where needed.

The Brandeis LGBTQ+ Alumni Network is dedicated to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) alumni community of the University.
The Network seeks to:
- Build connections among the Brandeis LGBTQ+ alumni community and its allies.
- Offer networking and community-building opportunities for LGBTQ+ alumni.
- Support the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) and its affiliated student groups.
- Provide professional and social opportunities for LGBTQ+ members of the Brandeis community around the world.
