Award

$150 to $300

Acceptable reimbursable expenses
  • Travel to libraries and archives.
  • Field research costs.
  • Software purchases (not laptops or software available through the Brandeis site license).
  • Access fees to repositories and collections.
  • Duplication services for research materials.
  • Conferences fees, when presenting or gathering data for a research project.

How to apply

Complete the online application form, embedded below. Prior to starting the form, please complete the following documents, which you will be prompted to upload:

  1. A summary of your research project, no longer than two single-spaced pages, that discusses a) the focus of your research, b) key issues and c) how you propose to address those issues. Please create this document yourself.
  2. A budget form that lists your anticipated expenditures.

All awards are provided as reimbursements from GSA. If you have been awarded a grant, you are given 2 months to provide receipts in order to file your reimbursement request with the GSA. Instructions on how to submit your reimbursement request are provided in your award email letter. Reimbursements take approximately 1 month to be sent to you, so it is recommended that you submit them as soon as possible.
