LMS Subcommittee
The LMS (Learning Management System) Subcommitee, which reports to the Academic Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC), makes recommendations regarding the features, procedures, and policies related to Moodle, the University's LMS. The Subcommittee ensures that Moodle's features meet the campus' evolving needs while maintaining stable and efficient performance.

Responsibilities
- Respond to campus needs as new forms of course delivery are established and recommend adjustments to Moodle features essential to meet pedagogical needs.
- For Moodle features with numerous or complex options, analyze, prioritize, and propose a simplified default set of options that will meet campus needs while concurrently reducing training time and increasing feature adoption.
- Analyze the applications that integrate with Moodle (plug-ins) and make recommendations to retain, upgrade, and discontinue when appropriate. Coordinate related decisions with the governance groups involved in the LMS migration.
- Engage with members of the campus community to receive input, provide feedback on proposals, and communicate approved decisions. In doing so, communicate the message that we are working to retain the stability of Moodle while retaining and simplifying functionality.
