International Students

Brandeis is recognized for its competitive program of scholarship and financial aid for international students. We require all international students seeking financial aid to complete the CSS Profile by the stated priority filing dates. The Profile application can be completed and submitted online (Brandeis school code 3092).  If the parents are divorced or separated, Brandeis also requires the Noncustodial Profile, which can be filed online once the original Profile has been submitted.

Other documentation may be required upon request. Some examples are:

  • Non-U.S. Income Verification (2022): Acceptable documentation of 2022 income may include copies of government tax returns, official salary letters from an employer, etc.
  • Non-U.S. Documentation of Cash, Savings and Investments: Acceptable documentation of assets may include copies of bank statements, investment statements, etc.
  • Parent(s)' 2022 Business Tax Return: Submit a copy of your parent(s)' 2022 non-US business tax return.  If a business tax return was not filed, please contact our office at finaid@brandeis.edu for alternate forms of documentation.
All documents should be written in English or accompanied by certified translations from a local consulate, embassy, or school official.

Please note the deadlines for submitting application materials as late applications may not be considered.

Financial aid is not available to international students who do not receive aid upon admittance. International students must reapply for financial aid each year. The amount of financial aid received each year will be dependent on the family's financial circumstances. While competition for international student financial aid is strong, it is also the case that the University is committed to maintaining and expanding its global campus community.

Continuing International Students

International students must reapply for financial aid each year. Students must complete the CSS Profile application online and also submit documentation of prior-year parent income and assets directly to our office by the required deadline. The amount of financial aid each year will vary depending on the family's financial circumstances.

Please note that scholarship funds are awarded to international students via the admissions process; scholarship funds are generally not available to international students who do not receive these funds upon admittance.
