Complete the Form I-9
- Both parts of this form must be completed with Student Financial Services BEFORE you start working on campus.
- Complete section 1 of the Form I-9 in Workday once you have been hired - this will usually appear in your inbox within 24 hours after your hire is complete.
- Section 2 of the form requires you to present original documentation of your choice (a list of acceptable documents can be found on the USCIS website) in order to verify your eligibility to work. You may complete Section 2 in person or over Zoom:
- In person: You must bring in the original documents, not copies or scans to the SFS front desk for review. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm for walk-in appointments. You may also schedule an appointment here.
- Remote (Zoom) method: Email kferguson@brandeis.edu for more information
- You only need to complete this form once during your time at Brandeis.
Sign up for Direct Deposit
Direct deposit is the easiest and most convenient way to receive your pay; your money will be deposited directly into your bank account each week, which saves you the hassle of having to pick up your checks. If you do not sign up for direct deposit, you will pick your check up from the Payroll Office at 60 Turner St.
-
Once you are hired, "Manage Payment Elections (Direct Deposit)" will appear as a task in your Workday inbox.
-
Under the "Preferred Payment Method" section, "Regular Payroll" refers to your paycheck. Please make sure this is set to "Direct Deposit — Payroll"
- If you are an international student, you should also complete the Foreign National Information Form.
