Coming up in the next few weeks, we have three exciting events to connect you with fellow innovators, inspire you with new ideas and jumpstart your next project. From a chat with a successful entrepreneur to a chance to pitch your own startup, you'll meet other driven students and get connected to the greater Boston startup ecosystem.

BETA Talks: Gidi Cohen, Co-Founder and CEO of Skybox Security

September 22, 7pm - 8pm

Gidi Cohen co-founded Skybox Security in 2002 and as its CEO, has guided the company’s vision and development to become a market leader in Cyber Security Risk Management solutions. As a respected innovator in the security analytics space, Gidi Cohen is a popular speaker at security conferences worldwide, demonstrating how sophisticated analytics, modeling, simulation, as well as unprecedented network visibility, are used to reduce an enterprise’s attack surface. Gidi Cohen also served as an officer in the IDF Intelligence Corps, leading an elite software development unit developing information security solutions. Gidi Cohen holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Sciences and Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.

Cross-University Student Innovation Mixer

September 23, 5:30pm

The Cross University Student Innovator Mixer @ *Hockfield Court (MIT Campus in Cambridge, MA) is a multi-school collaboration between 17 colleagues and universities, and the list continues to grow. Schools include MIT, Harvard, Tufts, Babson, Boston University, UMass-Lowell, and many more. This event is your chance to connect with other innovators, potential co-founders, or founding team members from other schools. Also, have chats with educators and thought leaders under the #startuplife #startupecosystem. Guests will be treated to pizza, non-alcoholic beverages, and outdoor games. #CommunityBuilding.

If inclement weather occurs, the event will move indoors to the Hacker Reactor (7th Floor of MIT Innovation HQ @ 292 Main Street, Cambridge, MA). Hosts will update guests via text message.

Pitch for Pizza

Location: Usdan Student Center International Lounge

Do you have a business idea and want to explore whether it could be a successful startup? Pitch your idea to fellow students and an expert panel of judges at the first annual Brandeis Innovation Pitch for Pizza startup competition. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Spark program at Brandeis innovation where winners are awarded up to $5,000 to start their business

No business idea right now? No problem. You can also join the fun, network, and learn about entrepreneurial opportunities at Brandeis. Or just hang out.

Sign up to pitch, or just attend and see what your fellow entrepreneurs at Brandeis are working on.
