HBI Undergraduate Grant in Jewish Gender Studies
HBI is accepting proposals for our undergraduate grant in Jewish gender studies. Up to $500 will be awarded each fall to a Brandeis undergraduate to support a research project in the field of Jewish Gender Studies.

Eligibility
Open to Brandeis University undergraduate students enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year. Applications will be accepted from students in any discipline, though the project must focus on a question of significance to the field of Jewish women’s and gender studies. Research proposals connected with senior projects or theses are eligible.
Application Requirements
- Transcript and resume/CV

Abstract: no more than fifty words, outlining proposed project and expected outcome

Bibliography: one-page bibliography of the literature and/or archival holdings to be consulted

Itemization of proposed research costs
- An email from your advisor sent to dolins@brandeis.edu approving your project. Please provide your advisor with your application materials for them to review.

Description of project. A two-page description of the project including:

critical issues covered by your research

method, research design or procedure

importance of this research to your field

how it examines Jewish women’s and gender scholarship

how the grant will impact your research
