ITAC Prioritization Stage Definitions

  1.  Submission — A project request form has been submitted to an ITAC member who has reviewed and advanced it for governance review. The ITS Project Management Office is working with the requestor to clarify any necessary information on the form. Once finalized, a project manager will create a Project Brief for governance approval/prioritization.
  2.  Discovery - Governance Approval/Prioritization — An ITAC Project Brief has been created for the project request and it is awaiting approval and prioritization from ATAC or WAC.
  3.  Discovery - In Progress — Resources are available and have been assigned to the Discovery effort. The Discovery effort is in flight. At the end of Discovery, the project manager will create a Project Plan for the project. This plan will be submitted for governance review.

  4.  Implementation - Governance Approval/Prioritization — Discovery is now complete. Project Plan has been created for the project and the implementation is awaiting Approval/Prioritization from ATAC or WAC.
  5.  Implementation - In Progress—Resources have been assigned to the implementation and the implementation phase is ongoing.
  6.  Stabilization — Stabilization is a period of time in which the implementation is complete and being closely monitored. Any necessary interventions are taken to quickly correct issues.
  7.  Complete — Project is completed and closed. Any major changes to the delivered project would require a new project request.
