Agency with Choice (AWC)
Helps provide skills training and support services to adults living with their families; families are encouraged to be involved in collaborating and even supervising professional caregivers working in the home. -
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)/Department of Developmental Services
Assists children living at home who require intensive levels of educational support in school and the community. -
Intensive Flexible Family Support Services (IFFS)
Services offered to families with a DDS-eligible child, aged 3-18, classified with a need for intensive case management. Flexible funding can also be made available for short-term needs or avoiding out-of-home placement. -
Specialized Home Care
A residential alternative for adults who are unable to live at home. -
The Family Support Center
Offers a wide range of flexible services to support families caring for a child or an adult with a developmental disability.
Provides contact information for therapists and case managers on speech therapy, home health agencies, outpatient treatment and more.
Assists individuals with one or more disabilities in securing housing. Run by the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association.

MDSC provides information, networking opportunities, and advocacy for people with Down syndrome and their families, educators, health care professionals, and the community-at-large.
Opportunities for Inclusion Services serve children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in the community, utilizing a person-centered planning approach. We provide quality, flexible programs and services to maximize independence, foster inclusion, promote self-advocacy and build community connections.
Services include Adult Family Care, Day Habilitation, Employment, Community Based Day Supports & Transitions, and School to Work Transitions Program.
