Natalie is a senior at Brandeis double majoring in Sociology and Anthropology. She is from Chicago, Illinois, and she is the current President of Waltham Group after previously serving as the House 3 Representative last year. She is also a volunteer coordinator for Hunger and Homelessness (HnH). She joined Waltham Group in her first year at Brandeis because she wanted to continue the work she was doing in high school at local food pantries. She has always had a passion for community service, so HnH and Waltham Group have become a home to continue the work she is passionate about!

McKenna is a senior at Brandeis double majoring in Neuroscience and Biology with an Anthropology minor. She became a coordinator for Blood Drive in the Fall of 2022 and she is the Vice President of Waltham Group. Formerly, she served as the House 1 Representative. She joined Waltham Group because she did a lot of volunteer work in high school through the National Honor Society. She also loves donating blood, so she was excited to join a group where she could combine those passions!

Samra is a senior at Brandeis majoring in Neuroscience, Biology, and Psychology, with a minor in South Asian Studies. She is the Treasurer of Waltham Group and a coordinator for Advocates for Health (A4H). She started volunteering with Waltham Group after learning about it in the Service and Leadership Pre-Orientation program. Volunteering at Prospect Hill Elementary school during the program inspired her to join!! She has always loved being involved in community service, and A4H allows her to volunteer in a healthcare setting.

Abby is a junior at Brandeis University, majoring in Biochemistry and Politics, with a minor in chemistry. She is a the Community & Social Justice co-coordinator, as well as a co-coordinator for Community Connections. Abygail started volunteering with Waltham Group because, as an international student, she wanted to build a sense of community and connect with others in meaningful ways. The flexibility and diversity within Waltham Group also attracted Abygail, as there are so many meaningful ways to serve various communities within the Greater Boston Area.

Talia is a senior majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Education Studies; additionally, she is working with the Community Engaged Scholars Program in their inaugural Capstone cohort doing research into program development at the Waltham Public Library. Within Waltham Group, Talia is a coordinator for Prospect Hill Kids’ Club (PHKC) as well as the Engagement Coordinator for the greater Waltham Group web of volunteers. Collaborating with the other PHKC coordinators to create fun programming for the kids has been the highlight of her week since she joined her sophomore year. She is driven by community building and getting to interact directly with people, whether that means the kids and parents of the PHKC community or the volunteering network at Brandeis.

Yamini is a junior majoring in Neuroscience. Actions speak louder than words, and she truly believes that this is one of the many mottos Waltham Group is driven by. Being in WG and working with Blood Drive has been such a transformative experience, since it's allowed her to connect with a large group of students who are interested in taking action to make an impactful difference within our campus and in the greater Waltham area. It has paved a path for her to work on projects that enhance her leadership, communication, and organizational skills, all while allowing her to be one of the many students who seek to spark positive changes in our community.

Katie is a senior majoring in Math with a minor in Economics and Teacher Education. She is from Petoskey, Michigan and this is their second year as the House 2 Representative. She is also a coordinator for Teaching Assistants in Public Schools (TAPS). She first got involved in Waltham Group because she wanted to connect with the community outside of Brandeis. She loves working with kids and TAPS gave them the perfect opportunity to do so. Outside of the classroom, she loves to spend time outside, watch women’s basketball, and read silly little books.

Rachel is a junior majoring in Applied Mathematics, minoring in Climate Justice, Science, and Policy, and is a part of the Community Engaged Scholars Program. Within Waltham Group, she is the House 3 (Housing, Environment, and Advocacy) Representative and a coordinator for Symbiosis. Rachel loves to help others grow more engaged with the natural world and help to educate others on environmental issues. She started volunteering through Waltham Group after taking part in the Service and Leadership Pre-Orientation Program her freshman year and wanting to find ways to get involved with her new community. Rachel strongly values community engagement and hopes you will find passion in doing the same through Waltham Group as well.

Hannah started volunteering for Waltham Group because she wanted to get involved with the Waltham community outside of Brandeis. She loves working with kids and plans to pursue a career in pediatrics, so Prospect Hill Kids’ Club (PHKC) was the perfect program for her. She loves seeing the kids every week and getting to know the other volunteers. She became a coordinator for her program and eventually became House 4 Rep. Now, not only does she have the privilege of serving her own program (PHKC), she gets to work with programs similar to hers.
