President

Donna DeChambeau is a junior from East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, majoring in Health: Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP) on the pre-med track. Donna is a coordinator for the Brandeis Big Siblings Program and has been matched with her "Little" for four semesters. Donna served as the 2021-22 volunteer engagement coordinator for Waltham Group and hopes to continue engagement work as president.

Outside of Waltham Group, Donna is a Peer Advocate and Violence Prevention Educator at Brandeis’s Prevention, Advocacy and Resource Center (PARC), a volunteer EMT on BEMCo, and a fall orientation leader. Donna is excited to be in this role this semester and is looking forward to making Waltham Group more accessible and welcoming for all Brandeis students. As president, she wants to listen to the needs of students and volunteers and is excited to have the support of her team to do this!

Ashna Kelkar

My name is Ashna Kelkar, and I am a junior studying HSSP and business from central New Jersey (yes, it does exist!). This is my second year coordinating ACT, and I am so excited to be your VP this year. I am passionate about making the health care system more equitable and accessible.

Outside of school, I love to dance and play (kind) pranks on my friends. I look forward to working with you all and please reach out if there is anything I can help you with.

Samra Khalid
Treasurer

Samra Khalid is a sophomore from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, majoring in neuroscience and biology. She is a coordinator for Advocates 4 Health and has been volunteering primarily with CareOne for the past two years. Alongside this, Samra spends most of her time working as a research assistant at the Goode Lab and a course assistant for General Chemistry 11A/B.

In her free time, she loves to crochet, spend time with her friends, try new places to eat and binge Netflix shows. As treasurer this year, Samra hopes to make budgeting a seamless process to navigate for all coordinators and CITS, and is excited to do so with the help of the rest of Waltham Group E-Board!

Community and Social Justice Coordinator

I am Zoe. I am a senior majoring in sociology with minors in Education studies and business. I have been volunteering with TAPS since my first semester at Brandeis and a coordinator for two years! I am involved with Education for Students by Students on campus and spend a lot of time working with outside organizations focused on educational equity and progressive legislation.

Outside of academics and volunteering, I love to bake, sit at the ocean and find new shows on Netflix. I also talk about being from New York City a lot, so I apologize in advance! I am thrilled to begin helping connect our coordinators in house two and work on this year's E-Board.

Irina Znamirowski

Community Engagement Coordinator

Irina Znamirowski is a junior from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada double majoring in English and Philosophy and minoring in Psychology. Irina is entering her fourth semester as a coordinator for Junior Brandeis Achievers, a House 4 program that provides afterschool enrichment for children. Last year, Irina joined Waltham Group E-board as the House 4 Representative, and this year she is excited to continue as the Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, Irina plans various volunteer recruitment and appreciation events. Irina looks forward to continuing Waltham Group’s partnership with other service and advocacy organizations on campus to promote a robust portfolio of the volunteering opportunities at Brandeis. Outside of Waltham Group, Irina dances with the Adagio Dance Company, Brandeis Ballet Company, and the Hooked on Tap Dance Ensemble.

Olivia Combs
House 1 Representative

Hi! My name is Olivia Combs, and I am the representative for the Health & Human Services House! I’m a senior at Brandeis double majoring in biology and sociology. I joined Brandeis Buddies as a volunteer during the spring semester of my sophomore year, and I became a coordinator a year later! I also volunteer as an EMT with BEMCo — a non-Waltham Group service club on campus. I am very passionate about community outreach and development, and I hope to make meaningful contributions to this type of work for the rest of my life. I’m so excited to be a house rep this year, where I will be in the position to connect people to community engagement opportunities that they are passionate about!

Najla Khan
House 2 Representative

Hello everyone! I’m Najla Khan! I am a sophomore studying biology and HSSP. I became a coordinator for TAPS during my first semester of college. I enjoy volunteering with a variety of different programs across all four houses in Waltham Group such as TAPS, Community Connections, Kids Connections and Blood Drive. As a House 2 representative, I will be here to support Big Siblings, General Tutoring, SPECTRUM, TAPS and LEAP. In addition to Waltham Group, I am a Hiatt Career Center advisor and a member of the MSA (Muslim Student Association). In my free time (if I have any), I enjoy baking, volunteering and drawing. All in all I am excited to be a part of Eboard this year and hope to facilitate growth within the different programs of House 2!

Hannah Risemanis a junior from New Hampshire, majoring in chemical biology. She joined Symbiosis her freshman year to work on the environmental education program with PHKC and has been a coordinator since the fall of her sophomore year. She is looking forward to supporting Community Connections, Service Without Borders, Hunger and Homelessness, Habitat for Humanity, and Symbiosis as House 3 Rep this year. Outside of Waltham Group, Hannah is a little too excited about organic chemistry, fungi, hiking and sci-fi novels.

Molly Brown
House 4 Representative

Molly Brown is a sophomore from Denver, Colorado. She is majoring in international global studies and Hispanic studies, with a minor in legal studies. Molly is a coordinator for Prospect Hill Kids Club and has been volunteering there for four semesters. Molly is new to the Waltham Group e-board and is beyond excited for her new role as House 4 Representative!

Outside of Waltham Group, Molly is involved in The Right to Immigration Institute (TRII) and is working on getting her own radio show with WBRS. She is an avid skier and is planning to join the club lacrosse team that Brandeis has just started. She is excited to be more involved with Waltham Group and as House 4 Rep hopes to provide support for the programs she respresents in House 4!
