The Creative Arts at Brandeis are renowned for its community of international artists and scholars from the departments of Fine Arts, Music, and Theater Arts as well as from the interdisciplinary program in Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation. The Rose Art Museum is an affiliated member. One of the nation’s premier university art museums, the Rose supports both established and emerging voices in contemporary art. Situated within a liberal arts research university, our programs promote interdisciplinary exploration and prepare students for a wide range of careers in the arts and beyond.
The Creative Arts Scholars form a cohort of enthusiasts who are interested in engaging with the arts on multiple levels. This unique opportunity comes with experiential components to encourage the bridging theory and practice in ways that are socially relevant and personally transformative.
At Brandeis, the Creative Arts are more than a course of study—they are a way of thinking, making, and engaging with the world. Our highly selective scholars program introduces students with a strong interest in the Creative Arts early in their undergraduate life, whether they decide to major in the related fields or not in the future, to the leading-edge scholarship and creative work through special programming.
