Held in the sun-drenched Zinner Forum at the Heller School for Social Policy, the event brought together visionary student teams, esteemed judges, and an engaged audience to celebrate innovation and the power of startup thinking.

The Asper Student Startup & Innovation Prizes

The Asper Student Startup & Innovation Prizes celebrate student innovation across four categories: General Entrepreneurship, Apps, Software & Computer Science, Product Design & Prototyping, and Social Impact & Brandesian Values. Open to undergraduates, graduates, and post-docs, applicants submit a short online form each spring. Three finalists per category present their ideas at the end-of-year event, where winners receive $1,000.

It’s a great chance to discover exciting projects, learn from peers, and celebrate Brandeis innovation. Proposals are judged on innovation, impact, feasibility, and team readiness.

Ain Family Start-Up Award

Have a big idea you want to work on this summer? The Ain Family Start-Up Awards offer up to $5,000 to support Brandeis students building a startup, social enterprise, or creative project. Open to students returning in the fall, the program helps turn your vision into action. To apply, submit a resume, a 500-word personal statement, and a business plan or pitch deck outlining your idea, market research, team (if any), and budget. Proposals are judged on impact, innovation, feasibility, and your team’s readiness.

Upcoming Student Startup Events Around Boston

The 2024-25 TiE U Boston Seasona program designed to fast-track collegiate entrepreneurs’ innovative ideas into Market-ready ventures.

Part of the TiE U 2025 global accelerator program, it is designed to inspire and support future innovators by offering mentorship, education, investment readiness, and opportunities that connect academia and industries.
