Startup Networking Mixer and Pitch Event
September 14, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Usdan International Lounge
Are you a student, faculty member or staff at Brandeis and are you interested in innovation and entrepreneurship? Do you have an idea for an innovation, and want to get feedback, or learn how you can take it to the next level?
Join us and learn about available programs and support, pitch your idea, begin to form or join a team, or just enjoy the refreshments and learn more about innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Hassenfeld Family Innovation Center together with the Office of Technology Licensing at Brandeis University is hosting an exciting event Thursday, September 14 from 6:30-8:30 as a kickoff to our SPARK/SPROUT innovation funding and support programs, and the Lean LaunchPad business model training program. Students, faculty and staff interested in applying for SPARK, SPROUT and/or creating startups are all invited. Attendees will have the opportunity to pitch ideas, explore entrepreneurial resources available to them, and learn more about innovation.
Why now is the best time to build your startup or launch your idea:
Access to free resources on campus including funding and support through Brandeis’ own world-class innovation programs:
- SPARK and SPROUT programs provided by the Hassenfeld Family Innovation Center and the Office of Technology Licensing based on the Lean LaunchPad curriculum;
- NSF funding through Brandies’ nationally recognized I-Corps Site: we are one of only four National Science Foundation I-Corps Sites in Massachusetts offering seed funding and programs that are integrated with the national I-Corp program.
What's Going On With Brandeis Innovation:
Codestellation Fall 2017
A hackathon is an opportunity to get together with others who share your passion for building and creating technology for a weekend and create something great. That app you’ve been talking about making forever? That software that would really make school that much easier? This is the perfect opportunity to sit down and make it a reality. At Codestellation, you’ll join a small launch team to create something awesome over the course of 24 hours. Along the way, we’ve also got a bunch of fun activities planned just in case you need a break from all the coding you’ll be doing. If a weekend of making new friends, coding, and partaking in all sorts of fun activities sounds like a blast to you, join the Brandeis MakerLab for Codestellation Fall 2017!

This event is to introduce the work inside the incubators, accelerators, angel investment firms, venture capitalists, and private equity to Brandeis students. Through interacting with speakers, students get to know how they can be involved with the growth of the startup-related industry in both US and China.
