International A.I. Night with Brandeis University: Innovation in China, India & Israel

Join Brandeis International Business School and Associate Provost for Innovation Rebecca Menapace to explore how AI is transforming businesses in China, Israel, and India. Meet entrepreneurs in blockchain, cybersecurity, predictive analytics, and more.
Brandeis will bring experts from its data analytics and fintech programs, including faculty Debarshi Nandy and Grace Zimmerman. The evening will also feature demos and pitches by a rich selection of start-ups in AI and other fields.
SPARKTank 2018 Winners A.W.E.S. Named Finalists in Ocean Exchange’s BIG Pitch Competition
Brandeis Innovators African Women Energy Solutions (A.W.E.S.) have been named one of the eight collegiate finalists in the Ocean Exchange startup competition.
The SPARKTank 2018 winners are working on a biogas energy system that will be run by female-only collectives, bringing energy and revenue to rural Africa.
Ocean Exchange™ accelerates the adoption of solutions that help economies, health and the environment, while respecting cultures around the world.
Brandeis Innovators A. I. Capital Management to Demo at MassChallenge Final
Marshall Chang, BA/MA '17, founder of A.I. Capital Management and SPARKTank 2018 first place winner, aims to create one of the world’s first hedge funds run by artificial intelligence. Marshall will be showcasing his work at the MassChallenge Awards on October 17 in Boston. Marshall has completed the MassChallenge program, winning a coveted spot as one of the 128 finalists this year.

To Be Honored at BostInno 50 on Fire

Wafaa Arbash, Heller MA ‘16, will be a featured panelist at the Impact Fest event on Benefit Corporations and other social enterprises at Impact Hub Boston on October 10. Wafaa is the founder of WorkAround, a startup developed here at Brandeis through both the Heller and International Business School 3-Day Startup competitions and the Brandeis Innovation SPARK program. WorkAround is an impact sourcing provider helping companies get more done for less, while giving jobs to refugees. Wafaa will share her insights on building a social enterprise, alongside other social innovators in the Boston ecosystem. The event, which starts at 8:30am, is free.
