The Brandeis Innovation Impact Report:
Join Us In Celebrating Remarkable Breakthroughs Across Campus
Brandeis innovators are striving to repair the world, one invention at a time.
They are discovering treatments for our most serious diseases, challenging conventional thinking on careers for people of differing abilities, and building resources for today’s businesses. They work in finance and artificial intelligence, in biotech and the social sector. Their inventiveness spans consumer apps to transportation, business strategy to the arts.
In all these sectors, our innovators are making an impact using the values and skills they learned right here at Brandeis. I invite you to learn more about their remarkable work in the pages of this book, chronicling the past year in innovation at our university.
Innovation programs at Brandeis open new possibilities for Brandesians across disciplines. From courses that teach relevant skills to our “virtual incubator” that supports our entrepreneurs at every step of their journey, the programs in this book empower every member of our community to “be the change” they wish to see in the world.
At a time of much global uncertainty and great promise, these programs give students, faculty, and staff the vital tools they need to make change, whether it’s building sustainable energy programs in Africa or empowering the startup community right here in Boston.
The culture of Brandeis informs each of the university’s top priorities: namely, the creation of an outstanding living and learning experience for students; support for research, creativity and collaborative innovation; and honoring our founding values.
As a university built on values of inclusion and social engagement, we aim to create in students the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to be drivers of meaningful change in their communities and around the world.
The time is now to stand with our creative, resourceful fellow Brandesians as they build the startups, discover the cures, and engage the communities that will lead to a better future for citizens of our global community.
