Fall Back Into Innovation
Fall Back Into Innovation
Welcome back to Brandeis Innovation! Fall brings renewed energy as we get back to our school-year programming for innovators across the university. We’re excited to see students, faculty, and staff again at our programs, which this year focus on practical step-by-step support in bringing groundbreaking ideas to life.
Our Spark program kicks off on September 22, with an introduction to entrepreneurship workshop. Come by to learn more about what Spark can do to support your ambitions.
We then have a great series of workshops, Fall Back Into Innovation, including Design Thinking, led by Brandeis Makerlab founder Ian Roy, How to Get Funded, and Business Model Generation. Each week, our team will share strategies, skills, and inspiration.
We’re also pleased to introduce our new Spark Program Director, Juan Giraldo, who comes to us as a:
Serial entrepreneur
MBA Babson College ‘18
Current CEO of Waku
World Economic Forum Global Shaper
If you have a startup, social impact, or creative idea and want to participate in Spark, apply now for our Fall program, which starts on September 22.
We look forward to another amazing year with you.

A Look Back at Summer 2021 Innovation
Summer was a busy time for us at the Brandeis Innovation Center. It’s been a packed season of hard work on behalf of the innovation ecosystem on campus.
We re-launched our video series of interviews with innovation experts, with expanded content.
Sprout 2021 teams continued to develop breakthrough inventions in biotechnology, materials science, and healthtech.
The Summer Speaker Series featured sessions from industry leaders, attracting record attendance from the Brandeis community.
Spark 2020 teams continued their grant-funded work, with many teams seeing significant progress towards launching their startups.
It was wonderful to see alumni join our Summer Speaker Series, proving that innovation never stops for Brandesians. Whether near or far, a regular supporter or a new connection, seeing the Brandeis Innovation community come together online was a highlight of Summer 2021.
